sketchbooks

Fantini’s creative urgency also finds expression in a more intimate and introspective body of work, developed within workbooks and scrapbooks that become true spaces of experimentation.

Initially conceived as notes, sketches, and small-scale trials, these notebooks gradually evolve into autonomous works, dense with visual and conceptual stratification. Each page is a site of research, where ideas take form quickly and directly, without mediation. As in architectural practice, the sketch is not merely preparatory: it is already part of the work. The gesture is swift and instinctive, yet it reveals a structured thought—often the precursor to more complex compositions.
